Emma

Saturday, 22 August 2009

3 months old Emma was presented me on the 13 August, as a birthday present, because I said I would have her. She is a chihuahua.

And to complete the gift, someone else presented a dog bed, a twin dog feeding bowl, doggy pad for housebreaking, a pan/spade poop scoop set, a bag of puppy feed & a dog belt (which I have not used yet).

I returned Emma and her things back to her original owners today. Emma and another of her siblings were taken home by someone else right away. I am glad because Emma deserves a more tolerable master than I have been.

I have looked after 6 dogs at one period. My children and I love to play with them. I gave them bath, cooked for them. They were a mixture of terrier, collie, shih tzu. The difference is that they stayed outside the house.

Having a dog living inside the house, running about, pooping around and biting clothes and shoes, is just not my cup of tea.

Book: Learn From Successful Entrepreneurs Part 1

Monday, 10 August 2009

It was the 1st part of the "Learn From Successful Entrepreneurs" sold to me by a worker, at the publishing company, who answered my call. There are no more copies on sale and no more inpublication. We met at an LRT station. She came with a colleague and I went with Yean. We have never met each other.

It was her personal copy. Although the cover is stained the inside is still good. Initially I asked if she could lower her price. She told me to give me whatever I could paid her. In the end I just paid her the full price (MR10) because the contents is okay and that is more important.

Book: What Your Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutritional Medicine May be Killing You

Sunday, 9 May 2009

I don't know what had gotten into me. I haven't been able to finish reading any books until recently. Thanks to my new pair of reading spectacles.

What your doctor doesn't know about nutritional medicine may be killing you
(Author: Ray D. Strand, M.D.) (Publisher: Advantage Quest) (Price: MR29.90)

Dr. Strand wrote about nutritional supplements as complimentary medicine and not as alternative medicine. He also spoke about us controlling the disease and not letting the disease control us.

It is interesting to read how he treated his patients (suffering from Fibromyalgia, leukoenoephalopathy, multiple scelerosis, cardiomyopathy, ovarian cancer, neuroblastoma, macular degeneration, Crohn's disease, systematic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis, asthma, bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis, Parkinson's disease, multiple scelerosis, Syndrome X (insulin resistance), Diabetest, etc.) with the nutritional supplements.

I think one of the reasons by I enjoyed reading his book is because I believe in nutritional supplements. I know my body does not get all the nutrients, from the food that I eat every day, and therefore I need to take supplements.

Nobody wants or enjoys being sick. I personally feel more sick when I am on medications of any sort for an extended time.
